Spidercox
is a web site by a Physics teacher who wants to connect up to more resources on the web.

I am  Karin Parker , Head of Science at The Grange, S. Gloucestershire, and I've worked at a couple of other schools in the area. 'Spidercox' is named after the infamous Nick Cox who was a partner in crime at one of those schools, and a tarantula breeder to boot.

We wanted  to develop projects on this site and show physics teachers don't all have beards and no sense of humour.

So far, we have:

A page for Grange students, (old Hanham High School and Downend links here)

Nick Cox's Tarantula Project  (Nick is the one who gave the site its name)

A page for the oldest xenopus frog in the world, from Downend School

    Karin's Physics of Execution  Talk

We aren't boring physicists  - includes  this is the link with all the photos of our mad experiments !

    Spidercox's Guestbook

    The irreverent  Physics of Pooh

The Invigilator's Not So Random Walk

Work done by our students and  some of our own resources
